When I decide I want to whip up a chocolate chip chocolate chip cookie recipe, I don’t want to wait for them to chill in the fridge, I want to eat them right away! So my main goal with these was for them to be above all delicious, and also perfect directly from the bowl to the oven. I did a side-by-side test of these with some cookies that had chilled, and some right from the bowl. The verdict? Zero difference. No waiting in this house!

Baking Tips:

1: One of the secrets to these easy chocolate chip cookies cookies is the little addition of almond extract. Its a subtle flavor, but believe me – so good, so certainly don’t skip it! This is my favorite almond extract!

2: These cookies are pretty foolproof – just be sure not to overmix once you’ve added the flour. They’re fully mixed when no streaks of flour are showing!

Description

Quick, easy and delicious – these are the best no-chill chocolate chip cookies!

Ingredients

Scale

3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon almond
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F, and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Cream together the butter and sugar with a whisk or in your stand mixer with the paddle attachment, until well combined. Mix in the eggs, almond and vanilla extract. Add the flour, baking powder and salt, mixing until all ingredients are incorporated. Stir in chocolate chips.

Form balls of about 2 tablespoons dough, and distribute them evenly on the cookie sheets. Dough will be a little sticky.

Bake 10-12 minutes, or until the edges just reach a light toasty brown. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes, and enjoy!

Notes

These can be stored in the fridge, tightly sealed, for 1-3 days. To freeze, roll the dough into balls, and freeze for 6-8 weeks. Bake frozen cookie dough balls for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Just ok. I followed the volumes and instructions and I thought they were very cakey and dry.
